Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving! May this be a time of counting your blessings and gratitude.
You may have noticed that paintings #169-#171 are missing. That's because these three were created during an online class during which the teacher asked that particpants not display them on social media. So I'm sorry that I cannot share them here. So we will just skip right along to happy little apples.
These 10-minute studies in my art journal on very not-special paper are what got me out of a painting rut and back to where I want to be when the kids started back at school a few months ago. They completely took the preciousness out of the equation which removed all of the pressure off from feeling the need to create anything great. Even the difference from #1 (top left) to #4 (bottom right) is striking. This is a great exercise that I highly recommend to anyone wanting to get painting without any pressure! You can't focus on details with only 10-minutes.
